CBR 40H and new DERRICK
TEREX|COMEDIL has been very proud to present the new CBR 40H.
This crane shows how attentive the Company is to the development of new models which are not simple readjustments of consolidated ones, but original cranes of completely new design.
CBR 40H with a hook height 2,7 m higher and a jib 4 m longer than CBR 36H, maintains however the same loads even at jib point as well as all those characteristics common to the CBR range, namely COMPLETE AUTOMATIC FOLDING COMPATIBLE WITH THE LOADING CLEARANCE GAUGE.
As the other CBR series cranes CBR 40H does not require any ground unfolding of the jib, thus saving useful space during the erection phases.
Particular attention was paid to limit the vertical dimension of the TOWER-JIB assembly positioned above the “gooseneck” of the flat-bed truck trailer achieving the “record” size of 260 cm.
All this has been obtained with no use of complex telescoping systems, but a simple and reliable “scissors”-opening system of the tower.
From an aesthetic point of view we made a restyling, too, minimizing the impact of the mechanisms all housed in a low position accessible from the ground.

DERRICK CDK 83-12
When constructing very high buildings, one might face difficulties with the tower crane dismantling.
TEREX|COMEDIL solved the problem enlarging its range of production with two SERVICE DERRICK models.
CDK 83-12 (See "range" section for CDK 83-12 Data Sheet) with 700 m-rope drum capacity can work from a height of 350 m. with 6 t-rated load, from a height of 230 m. with 9 t-rated load and from a height of 175 m with 12 t-rated load.
Designed for “self-dismantling” at the end of its work, CDK 83-12 leaves on the top floor just a few small parts which can be lowered to the ground by the built-in elevator.
To the aim, the maximum weight of each component has been limited to 1.450 kg.
Sometimes the Service Derrick is left on the building top floor for maintenance purposes.
A custom-built Service Derrick is also available on request as “Jib Crane Derrick” for loading-unloading at dockyards and/or yards.
Next year the Service Derrick range shall be widened with CDK 113-16 (See "range" section for CDK 113-16 Data Sheet) with 30 m jib and 16 t capacity.
